You also need to consider how you will get to the university. Is it safe where you will be living? What kind of facilities do you need? What are your other living expenses going to be, for student accommodation?

It is normal to feel excited and confused and homesick and shocked by the culture and feel uncertain during the early stages. If you stay in touch with your family and make some friends and get involved in things at university and try cultural things and ask for help when you need it then you will start to feel more comfortable and confident over time.

Not only are students more confident and more developed once they head back home, they also know more about how to communicate in other countries and have international relationships, and how different other countries are from each other and from their own country
